Today
Dru has made a slide for action figures out on post-its. I finished painting a tiny dresser. And I have a gift for the house sitting we had over while in Branson. (best friend)

Home Home Home
This morning when we started packing in the hotel my son said excitedly, "Home home home!" This is a reference to Beetlejuice. There's a scene where the Maitland's dig up the ghost with the most in the "model", and after he disappoints, Barbara yells, "Home home home!" in order to go back home. As a kid, I watched Beetlejuice like most little girls watched Cinderella. My dad would also notice when it was on a cable station Saturday mornings, NOT wake me up and turn the movie on in my bedroom. The result was my dreaming of it, or dreaming I was IN the movie myself several times. This movie is etched into my past in a big way. A few months ago I let my son watch it. He is four. Now, I saw it for the first time at the age of 2, and I remember watching it again as a teen and realizing they cursed and there were some inappropriate parts. Knowing this, I feel no reason to keep my son from watching it while he's young. He's not going to understand the "bad" parts, and they aren't that bad at all, really. He LOVED IT! It made me smile. He has seen it about a half dozen times. All at his request. He also references it at funny times. He was helping his dad in his Nana's garden once and said that they were, "digging up Beetlejuice." Haha! He also points out striped things and tells me it's Beetlejuice.
I love it, he's my boy!
here's the Home Home Home scene. 3 minutes 40 second mark.

Lambert's
Was sooooo good! I had a burger and Billy had meatloaf and mash potatoes and fried apples and cucumber and onions. . . Ha ha Dru had chicken strip kids' meal. They threw the rolls at the tables! It was fun. Oh, and the "cougar" license plate pic was taken for a friend- she's a cougar. I posted it on her wall. . . Lol

Thrifty!
The giant banana made me laugh instantly. In a fancy department store next to an oversized, antiqued apple and orange it wouldn't have, but in the thrift store- I giggle. The owl storage do-hickey I bought for a friend. It was 75% off the $1.99. She needs a home for paper clips anyway. And the Bette Midler vinyl album made me giggle as well. Man, that album cover is funny! I didn't buy that or the banana. I have no need for a Bette or a banana!

Transformer!
Just the other day at a drive thru my 4 year old, Andru, told the lady at the speaker, "Hey I'm Peter Parker!" and then at the window he told the cashier that our car was a transformer! So, seeing this car at Mickey Dees just made his day!

Happy Birthday Text
I have this coworker with a hilarious family. Her brother will post people's private phone numbers on Facebook and have his fb friends send happy birthday wishes. He even did this to his own mother and when he did it to my coworker (his sister) she got about 50 texts! Well, today is his birthday and sure enough his sister posted his phone number on Facebook so I sent him this.

Apartment Life
So, my apartment had life before I stepped foot in it. I just, enjoy that feeling. Here is a hair tie that I have not taken off the bathroom cabinet handle since I moved in. A hippie type man lived here before I did. He had also turned in a tie-dye key that was handed over to me when I signed papers. That's all I know about the guy. Well, that and the 1980's porno magazine I found on top of the built in bookcase covered in dust. I like to imagine he hid it from his wife in the early 90's and forgot about it.
