Spiderman

My son has a million action figures. Spiderman, Green Lanterns, Yellow Lanterns (yes, they exist), Superman, Batman, and villains galore! One of the villains is Venom. Something happens to Spiderman and his suit turns completely black. But there is a scarier action figure my son already calls Venom. So this one, the not so scary one, he calls Black Spiderman. I'm not sure if this is racially insensitive so I have not said anything on the subject. . . But every time he says it I don't really know what to do.
